Annual Meeting General Info

 

Emergency Radiology is a growing subspecialty and has become a popular topic for continuing medical education courses over the last several years. The Society’s goal is to maintain the annual ASER meeting as the premier CME course in Emergency Radiology. Attendee feedback from the ASER 2015 meeting in Key Biscayne, Florida was extremely positive. Next year’s meeting in San Francisco, California will build on the successes of this year, and further expand the program’s offerings.

The deadline for the group room block is August 23, 2016. Reservations received after this date are guaranteed at the group rate, however, they will be confirmed based upon availability. It is possible that hotel rooms and/or specific categories may sell out prior to August 23; therefore it is strongly recommended that you make your reservation as early as possible. Room rates are available three days prior and following actual meeting dates, subject to availability.

The hotel will refund an attendee’s entire deposit if the attendee cancels his/her reservation prior to 3:00 PM on your scheduled day of arrival and/or checks out of the hotel earlier than his/her anticipated departure date due to a personal emergency involving his/herself or immediate family.  If the cancellation policy is violated, the hotel will assess a charge equal to one night room and tax.


Check-in time is after 4:00 pm. Check-out time is 11:00 am.

Abstract Submission

For each Annual Meeting, the Society issues a call for scientific abstracts to be considered for presentation during the scientific sessions. This call for abstracts is sent in March via email and the deadline for abstract submission is in May each year. To learn more about the submission process, click here

RENTAL CARS
Car rentals are available through Avis rental car service. Special rates have been negotiated with Avis for ASER 2016 participants. To request a rate or make a reservation with Avis, please CLICK HERE or call Avis at 1-800-331-1600. Please provide the Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) Number: D757527 when making reservations. Rates are based on returning the cars within San Francisco and are guaranteed from one-week prior through one week after the meeting dates.

 

TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE MEETING HOTEL 

Visitors seeking shuttle service and transportation to Hyatt Regency San Francisco and around the city have a variety of options, from taxi service and limousines to airport shuttles and public transportation. The hotel Concierge will be more than happy to assist you with hotel shuttle transportation options to or from Bay Area airports, attractions like Union Square and other San Francisco destinations.  For the hotel Concierge dial 415-788-1234 Ext. 7.

 

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)

From San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

$8.65 each way - Exit at Embarcadero From San Francisco International Airport (SFO): Any San Francisco bound (north bound) train will stop at "Embarcadero Station" and use the Drumm Street exit. Hotel is located directly outside the station. Trains are available every 15 - 20 minutes.

 

From Oakland International Airport (OAK)

$10.05 one way.  The Oakland Airport BART station is located across from the Terminal 1 baggage claim area and a short walk from Terminal 2. Then board a San Francisco/Daly City-bound train to Embarcadero Station.  Use the Drumm Street exit and hote is located directly outside the station. BART runs every 15 to 20 minutes.

San Francisco 
Lorries Shuttle
Operates 4:00a.m. - 11:30p.m., seven days a week. Door to door service between SFO Airport and Hyatt. Price is $17 one way per person. At the airport, look for the White and Green Vans with lettering that says Go Lorrie's at the shuttle pickup area. For information call 415-334-9000. Reservations are required for transportation from the hotel to the airport.


San Francisco Super Shuttle Van Service
Operates 24 hours/seven days a week. Door to door service between San Francisco and the SFO Airport. From the Airport, go to the upper level (median strip or courtesy island) and look for the blue and yellow van. Price is $17 one way per person. Bay Porter
